Fatal Butler County car crash death of Kathryn Fichter – Obituary
A tragic incident unfolded in Butler County over the weekend, as per the coroner’s office, which has now identified the victim of the fatal crash.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones reported that the incident occurred when deputies were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the intersection of Stillwell Beckett Road and Oxford Reily Road in Oxford Township.
Initial reports from the investigation suggest that a black Hyundai Elantra, disregarding a red flashing traffic control device, found itself in a collision with a white 1500 Ram pickup truck, striking the Elantra’s passenger side.
Emergency responders swiftly transported two individuals, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, to McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford via the Oxford Life Squad.
Tragically, the passenger of the Elantra, identified as 46-year-old Kathryn Fichter, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Following the incident, the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (S.T.A.R.T) and The Butler County Coroner’s Office were summoned to conduct further investigations.
