Fatal Alexandria motorcycle crash death of Kaden Olson – Obituary
Kaden Olson, a 23-year-old resident of Alexandria, tragically lost his life on Tuesday evening after colliding with a DASH bus.
The Alexandria Police Department disclosed that at the time of the collision, the DASH bus driver was the sole occupant. At 5:07 p.m., the driver notified dispatch about the incident, recounting that Olson’s motorcycle had been speeding past the bus as it made a turn onto N. Ripley Street.
According to the dispatch report, the bus driver observed Olson motionless following the crash. Sadly, moments later, Olson was pronounced deceased at the accident site. In response, authorities closed off traffic in both directions of Duke Street and N. Ripley Street while conducting an investigation into the collision.
As of now, no charges have been pressed against the bus driver. The Alexandria Police Department stated that any potential charges would be determined pending the conclusion of their investigation.
Police confirmed that traffic resumed its normal flow at 10:40 p.m., marking the end of the disruption caused by the tragic incident.
