Identified now is the deceased victim, a woman hailing from Port Lavaca, whose body was retrieved from the ship channel in Port Aransas.
Law enforcement reports reveal that Lynna Koehn, aged 58, was behind the wheel of a vehicle accompanied by a 54-year-old male in the passenger seat.
An alert about a reckless driver prompted authorities to respond at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Monday evening.
Upon arrival, officials found that the vehicle had plunged into the waters at the ship channel. The submerged vehicle was retrieved the following morning at 9:15 a.m. and hoisted from the water’s depths around 1 p.m., resting 28 feet beneath the surface.
