Fatal St. Paul collision claims life of Jenny Wilson – Obituary
In a regrettable incident on Wednesday afternoon, a collision between a bicyclist and a Green Line light rail train occurred in St. Paul, according to Metro Transit PD.
The mishap took place around 4:15 p.m. at the Capitol/Rice Street station.
Tragically, the bicyclist, identified as Jenny Wilson, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity was confirmed, yet they have not yet been publicly named.
Following the collision, there was a temporary cessation of service on the line, with buses stepping in to fill the gap between the Hamline Avenue and 10th Street stations.
Efforts to clear the scene were successfully completed by 6:30 p.m.
