The Texas Department of Public Safety identified Philip Joseph Kitten as the victim of a fatal airplane crash involving crop-duster aircraft in Cochran County. The incident occurred near County Road 235 and Highway 114 at approximately 8:38 a.m. on Friday morning.

According to authorities, two air tractors were engaged in spraying operations over a cotton field when they collided mid-air, resulting in a fire. Emergency responders, including the Cochran County Sheriff’s Office, quickly arrived at the scene. Philip Joseph Kitten was pronounced dead at the crash site. Jeremy Deshawn Williams, who was also involved in the incident, sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is actively investigating the crash. As of Monday, NTSB officials stated that an investigator was completing the documentation of the crash site and examining the involved aircraft.
