Fatal El Paso County motorcycle crash claims the life of Kelly Rehm – Obituary**
The motorcyclist who perished in a crash last Tuesday night has been identified as Kelly Rehm, 23, by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.
Rehm was involved in a collision with two other motorcyclists and a vehicle on June 18, just east of Penrose Hospital.
At approximately 7:57 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on Jackson Street crossed Nevada Avenue on a green light when Rehm collided with it, according to initial reports from the Colorado Springs Police Department. Following the impact, two other motorcyclists also crashed.
Responding officers discovered Rehm deceased at the scene and another rider with severe injuries. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed.
The second injured motorcyclist was taken to Penrose Hospital, while the third rider fled the scene on foot.
Later, CSPD officers located the third motorcyclist at a local hospital.
Currently, no arrests or charges have been made, according to CSPD.
CSPD’s Major Crash Team continues to investigate Rehm’s connection to the other motorcyclists and potential contributing factors to the crash.
