The victim who lost his life during a shooting incident at a Riviera Beach Wawa convenience store has been identified as Anthony Thurston Jr., aged 15, hailing from Palm Beach Gardens.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on Wednesday at the Wawa gas station situated on Blue Heron Boulevard and Garden Road in Riviera Beach. During the investigation at the scene, law enforcement officers took into custody a woman named Shaakiara Smith. According to police statements, Smith was involved in a verbal altercation and attempted physical altercation with others at the location.
In an interview with CBS12 News, Smith confirmed that the deceased individual at the Wawa was her son, Anthony Thurston Jr., aged 15.
