Fatal Shreveport shooting death of Jacoby Willis – Obituary
A man was shot in the neck and left to die in a driveway near East 70th Street.
On June 29, at midnight, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to a shooting report in the 7200 block of Bethany Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man unresponsive in the driveway.
Jacoby Willis, 46, from Dallas, Texas, had been speaking with another person at the residence when a family member heard multiple gunshots.
The family member went to check on Willis and found him unresponsive with a neck gunshot wound.
Willis was transported to a local hospital, where he was declared dead at 11:59 p.m.
A suspect dressed in dark clothing was seen fleeing towards Turner Lane.
No arrests have been made, and the SPD is actively investigating.
