Fatal Rockford shooting death of Jaquone Aldridge – Obituary**

The 22-year-old man who lost his life in a Rockford shooting on Saturday has been identified as Jaquone Aldridge.

The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jaquone Aldridge was the victim.

According to the coroner’s office, police responded to a call at around 1:44 p.m. on Saturday in the 2500 block of Conklin Drive. Upon arrival, they found Aldridge had suffered severe gunshot wounds. While en route, officers were informed that the victim was being driven to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Police intercepted the car and transferred Aldridge to an ambulance. Despite efforts to resuscitate him after he went into cardiac arrest upon arrival at the hospital, Aldridge was moved to the operating room but was declared dead at 2:46 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

As of this report, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
