The tragic accident that occurred late Friday night in Lindenhurst has claimed the lives of two brothers, Antony Tiscareno, 16, and Alonso Tiscareno, 11, both residents of Wadsworth.
Autopsies revealed that both boys succumbed to blunt force injuries from the single-vehicle collision, as reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Despite their Wadsworth address, the brothers had a Zion mailing address, authorities noted.
The incident took place at approximately 11:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue. The boys were passengers in a car that collided with a tree. Two other individuals, a 20-year-old man from Zion and a 20-year-old man from Beach Park, were also in the vehicle and have been hospitalized. One is in critical condition while the status of the other remains unknown, according to police reports.
The vehicle was heading east on Grand Avenue when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree. When authorities arrived, they found the car engulfed in flames with all four occupants trapped inside.
