Police in Phoenix have identified a man who was discovered deceased inside a residence in central Phoenix earlier this week.
Officers responded to a call around 3:45 p.m. on Monday regarding a shooting at a home near 3rd Street and Townley Avenue, south of Dunlap Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 68-year-old John Sleeth suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Sleeth was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Authorities have classified Sleeth’s death as a homicide and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
