Fatal Tuscaloosa car crash death of Shannon Scott Elmore – Obituary

Tuscaloosa Police have identified Shannon Scott Elmore, a Brookwood resident, as the victim of a two-vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday evening at the intersection of 55th Avenue East and Old Birmingham Highway.

According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, the deadly accident took place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver of a Ford F150 crossed the center lane on Old Birmingham Highway and collided with an oncoming Jeep Wrangler.

The Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and Northstar EMS paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical assistance to the driver of the F150. However, despite their efforts, 53-year-old Shannon Scott Elmore was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jeep’s driver, a 45-year-old woman from Brookwood, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, where she was reported to be in stable condition as of early Wednesday morning.

The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing.
