New York State Police are investigating a deadly two-car collision that took place on State Route 145 in Middleburgh on Tuesday. Beverly Conto, 70, from Fultonham, was identified as the deceased driver, authorities confirmed.

On July 16 at approximately 1:42 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the scene following a report of a head-on collision with significant injuries. Investigations revealed that Conto was traveling southbound on Route 145 when her vehicle veered into the northbound lane, colliding with a commercial vehicle.
According to state police, the other driver suffered minor injuries and has been fully cooperative with the investigation. Route 145 remained closed for roughly four hours as investigators processed the scene.
