On Thursday night, a tragic single-vehicle accident in Fayette County resulted in the death of Ashton Miller, 19, from Fulton, Mississippi, and left another teenager injured, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
At approximately 10:45 p.m., a 2021 Toyota Corolla veered off Alabama State Route 18, collided with a culvert, and overturned. Ashton Miller was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 17-year-old, was transported by air to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that have not been detailed. The accident occurred near the 22-mile marker, about eight miles northwest of Fayette. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is continuing its investigation, with no additional information available at this time.
