Fatal Louisville pedestrian accident death of Miranda Carey – Obituary
Miranda Carey, 30, was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle early Friday morning in Louisville. The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. on Bardstown Road, close to the I-265 Interchange.
According to Louisville Metro Police, Carey was walking outside of a designated crosswalk when she was hit by a northbound vehicle. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Carey was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the location and is cooperating with authorities.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed Carey’s identity, and the LMPD Traffic Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
