Fatal Southeast Baltimore Shooting Death of Breaunna Cormley – Obituary
Authorities are actively searching for a suspect believed to be responsible for the death of 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley, who was shot late Friday night in southeast Baltimore.
Baltimore police responded to a report of a shooting on the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered Cormley with a severe gunshot wound. Despite immediate efforts by officers and medics to perform CPR, the child tragically passed away on-site.
The victim, Breaunna Cormley, has been identified by authorities. Police Commissioner Richard Worley mentioned that investigators are working to establish whether Cormley was residing at the location of the shooting or merely visiting.
“This was a deliberate act, not an accident,” Worley stated regarding the nature of the shooting.
As of Saturday, police continue their search for the suspect, 28-year-old Omar Passmore, who is considered armed and dangerous. Passmore is described as standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 230 pounds.
