Fatal Hopewell shooting death of Damonye Lamont Taylor – Obituary
Two individuals have lost their lives following a shooting incident that occurred in Hopewell early on Sunday morning, according to the Hopewell Police Department.
Around 3:30 a.m. on July 21, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Radford Drive in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police identified one of the victims as 23-year-old Damonye Lamont Taylor, who was declared dead at the scene.
The second victim, 30-year-old Dequante Travell Roney from Prince George, was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
