Fatal Gran Couva stabbing death of Julien Hall – Obituary
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was fatally stabbed during a late-night altercation outside a bar in Gran Couva shortly after midnight on July 21.
According to police reports, Julien Hall, aged 41 and a resident of Emmanuel Junction, Tabaquite, was involved in a physical altercation outside the Ecstasy bar. It is believed that Hall was stabbed multiple times by an individual known to him during the altercation.
Following the incident, Hall was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.
CCTV footage obtained by Newsday captured the moments leading up to the altercation. The footage showed Hall, dressed in white, engaged in a conversation across the street from the bar with another man dressed in blue. At approximately 12:54 am, Hall approached the man in blue and a physical confrontation ensued. The altercation escalated quickly, resulting in both men falling to the ground near the bar’s car park. During the scuffle, Hall’s white t-shirt became visibly stained with blood in the chest area. After a brief moment, Hall retreated from the scene but returned shortly after, his t-shirt now soaked in blood.
The CCTV footage concluded there, leaving unanswered questions about the subsequent events. Police have confirmed that Hall passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Homicide detectives are currently conducting investigations into the incident.
