A two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon claimed the life of Melissa Parker, a resident of Dora, Alabama.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that the accident happened around 12:35 p.m. when Melissa Parker, 42, lost control of her Toyota Tundra, which veered off the road and was subsequently hit by a Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles had departed from the roadway before the collision occurred. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were taken to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper for medical attention.
The incident took place on Horse Creek Boulevard near Singleton Road, about a mile west of Dora in Walker County. The investigation by ALEA is still ongoing, with no additional details available at this time.
