Fatal Montgomery County car crash death of Yanique Tyshay Jones – Obituary
The Montgomery County Police Department has released the identity of a woman who tragically lost her life in an early morning collision on Saturday.
At approximately 2:15 a.m., authorities responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident on Goshen Road, close to Rock Elm Way.
According to police, a Kia was traveling on Goshen Road when it collided with a Hyundai heading south on the same road near Rock Elm Way.
The driver of the Hyundai, later identified as 25-year-old Yanique Tyshay Jones from Rockville, Maryland, was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive.
The driver of the Kia sustained serious injuries, though they are not considered life-threatening, and was also taken to the hospital. Authorities are seeking any witnesses to come forward and provide information by calling (240) 773-6620.
