Fatal Pierce County pedestrian accident death of Dae S. Hwang – Obituary
Dae S. Hwang, a 79-year-old pedestrian, tragically lost her life in a collision last week in southern Pierce County near McKenna, according to the Washington State Patrol.
On July 18, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Hwang was walking along eastbound State Route 702 near 40th Avenue South when she tried to cross the road and was struck by a truck driven by a 30-year-old man from Rainier.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Hwang was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation led to the closure of the road for over three hours.
