Fatal Gaithersburg car crash death of Isaac Akomanyi – Obituary
A Germantown resident lost his life in a tragic car accident on North Frederick Avenue near Travis Avenue in Gaithersburg on Saturday night, according to authorities.
Around 10:12 p.m., Gaithersburg Police and Montgomery County Fire Rescue teams responded to a two-vehicle collision on North Frederick Avenue.
Investigators revealed that a black 2022 Ram 1500 pick-up truck traveling northbound on North Frederick Avenue crashed into a black 2016 Nissan Altima, which was also heading north.
The Nissan’s driver, identified as Isaac Akomanyi of Germantown, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A passenger in the Nissan and the driver of the Ram were also hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening. The name of the Ram driver has not been disclosed by police.
Authorities are requesting that anyone who witnessed the crash contact detectives at (240) 773-6620.
