Fatal Colorado Springs motorcycle crash death of Karl Maisel – Obituary
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has identified Karl Maisel, a 65-year-old motorcyclist, as the victim who perished in a crash at the I-25 and MLK Bypass off-ramp.
On July 11, 2024, CSPD responded to the scene of a single motorcycle crash where Maisel was found with critical injuries.
Despite being transported to the hospital, Maisel succumbed to his injuries.
According to CSPD, Maisel lost control of his motorcycle while exiting the interstate, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
This marks the 31st traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for this year, compared to 25 fatalities at the same time last year. Over the past 365 days, the city has seen 56 traffic-related deaths.
