Fatal Ohio Turnpike death of Matthew T. Savord – Obituary
A tragic accident occurred Saturday night on the Ohio Turnpike, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Matthew T. Savord.
According to the Swanton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Savord was crossing the eastbound lanes when he was struck by a Ram 1500 pickup truck.
Savord sustained fatal injuries from the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The reason behind his presence on the turnpike remains unknown, as the Ohio State Highway Patrol has yet to determine why he was walking across the lanes.
