The Charleston County Coroner has identified the 63-year-old man who was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Rivers Avenue on Saturday.
Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal reported that Russell Johnson, a resident of North Charleston, succumbed to his injuries at the scene at 10:05 p.m.
The North Charleston Police Department stated that no charges have been filed related to the incident. They have not provided further information about the cause of the crash.
The North Charleston PD’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating the incident.
