Belleville authorities are continuing a multi-agency investigation into a tragic fire that resulted in the death of 45-year-old Adrienne Dracup earlier this month.
On July 24, 2024, the Belleville Police Service updated the public, confirming Dracup as the victim.
The incident occurred at a detached home located at 285 Herchimer Ave. at approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 20, 2024, when firefighters and police responded to a report of a structure blaze.
Emergency responders discovered Dracup deceased inside the residence. The victim was known to reside at the Herchimer Avenue address.
The investigation is ongoing, with the Belleville Police Service’s criminal investigative division and forensic identification unit working alongside the Ontario Fire Marshal.
