Authorities have identified Miguel Narro, 36, of Las Vegas, as the suspect arrested in connection with the shooting that critically injured a security guard outside a west Las Vegas supermarket.
Narro was taken into custody on Sunday and now faces charges including attempted murder, robbery, and battery with a deadly weapon.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of Marketon, located at 840 N. Decatur Boulevard.
According to a declaration of arrest report from the Metropolitan Police Department, Alexander Maceo-Sanabria, a security guard at the store, was shot in the head by Narro after attempting to stop another man from stealing groceries.
Maceo-Sanabria sustained a bullet wound to his chin, which is believed to have lodged in his neck. Officers noted what appeared to be exit wounds at the back of his skull and the base of his neck. He was transported to University Medical Center’s trauma unit in critical condition, where doctors determined his injuries to be life-threatening
