Burlington authorities have revealed the identity of the individual involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred on Tuesday.
Alicia Cearley, a 36-year-old resident of Burlington, passed away on July 23. Her body was discovered around 4 a.m. on South Church Street at the intersection with Glendale Avenue.
In connection with the incident, 51-year-old Irma Hernandez from Burlington has been charged.
Hernandez has cooperated with the authorities and faces multiple charges, including driving without a license, felony hit-and-run resulting in death, and speeding beyond safe limits.
