Fatal Lamb County pedestrian accident death of Anna Belle Byrd – Obituary
On Wednesday morning, tragedy struck in Lamb County as a vehicle collided with a pedestrian, leading to her death.
Anna Belle Byrd, aged 88, was hit by a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck while she was on Farm to Market Road 1055 in Amherst at around 5:38 a.m.
The Texas Department of Safety confirmed Byrd’s death from the injuries sustained in the crash. Fortunately, there were no additional injuries reported.
Authorities noted that Byrd was on the roadway when the accident occurred. As of noon Wednesday, further details about the collision had not been released.
The road conditions at the time of the crash were reported to be dry, and the weather was clear.
