Bryan Davis, a victim of a 2021 shooting, passed away last week due to complications from his gunshot wounds, as reported by St. Louis police on Tuesday.
The police department’s website update confirmed that Davis, from Bellefontaine Neighbors, died on July 19, with the medical examiner’s office ruling his death as a “homicide.”
Davis’ death marks the third fatality related to the incident. On the evening of October 18, 2021, police were called to Ridge Avenue and Union Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
At the scene, they discovered four men with gunshot wounds near a corner market.
Investigations revealed that two opposing groups had exchanged gunfire from across the street, resulting in the injuries of the four victims. James Haulcy, 58, from Berkeley, and Shjuan Weekly, 43, from St. Louis, died at the scene.
Davis and another individual were transported to the hospital, where one was in critical condition, and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Davis eventually succumbed to complications from his injuries last week.
