Luke Briggs, 35, has tragically passed away due to severe injuries sustained during an arrest in Hoppers Crossing last week.
The incident occurred outside a convenience store and involved two police officers. The specific circumstances of the arrest remain undisclosed, and the body-worn camera footage from the officers has not been released by Victoria Police.
Luke, who was pictured with his sister Catherine, was taken to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on July 15.
The officers involved were questioned by a detective from the homicide squad last Friday, but no charges have yet been filed.
