Nariendra Sudama dies in fatal Port St. Lucie drowning
Fatal Port St. Lucie drowning death of Nariendra Sudama – Obituary
The family of 44-year-old Nariendra Sudama, who tragically drowned while swimming last Thursday, continues to grieve his loss nearly a week later.
Nalini Samlal, his aunt, expressed the profound impact of his death, saying, “My support system is gone. He was the most fun, loving, genuine, and generous person you could meet.”
Sudama, affectionately known as Nary, was swimming in McCarty Ranch Preserve Lake when he did not resurface.
Authorities suspect he may have struck his head underwater. Samlal reminisces about the devastating moment she learned of his passing. “We were devastated and crushed. We couldn’t believe it at first and were hoping it wasn’t true.”
Samlal is left with many questions, especially since the lake was designated as a no-swim zone. “He loved being in the water. It was likely his first visit to that area, so he might not have been aware of the lake’s regulations,” Samlal noted.
Nary leaves behind his wife, a 17-year-old daughter, and a 19-year-old son.
