A recent high school graduate, Noah Presgrove, 19, was discovered deceased on the side of a rural highway in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, with severe injuries including a fractured skull, broken ribs, and scattered teeth.
Presgrove, who had gone missing after attending a four-day birthday celebration, was found naked except for mismatched shoes about a mile from the event location on Labor Day 2023.
The circumstances surrounding Presgrove’s final moments remain unclear. He had left the party with plans to take a walk but was unable to find one of his shoes and chose another instead.
His body was located on US 81 in Jefferson County, sparking a “suspicious” death investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in mid-September.
However, with little progress in the case over the past seven months, Presgrove’s family has grown increasingly concerned and is speaking out about the severity of his injuries.
Described by relatives as funny, fearless, and endearing, Presgrove had recently graduated from Comanche High School and was looking forward to joining the military.
His family has not been granted access to the Medical Examiner’s report, leaving them with more questions than answers. When Presgrove was found, his body showed significant trauma, with visible bruising, skull fractures, and rashes from road gravel. His teeth were discovered scattered nearby.
Robyn Smith, Presgrove’s aunt, revealed to NewsNation that his body was badly bruised and swollen, and his fingertips appeared “shredded.” She noted that there were no signs of injury to the lower half of his body, and authorities suggested his injuries might not be consistent with a vehicular accident.
Relatives, including cousins who described Presgrove as “fearless,” “goofy,” and “hilarious,” are actively advocating for justice through a Facebook page titled “Justice for Noah Presgrave.” They are calling for a thorough investigation, feeling that the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not provided sufficient information about the case.
A spokesperson for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, but no further details were released. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has deferred to the Highway Patrol for updates.
