Quinterius Evans dies in fatal Peoria shooting
Fatal Peoria shooting death of Quinterius Evans – Obituary
The Peoria County Coroner’s Office has identified Quinterius Evans, a 31-year-old resident of Peoria, as the victim of a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning on W. Garden Street.
Evans sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died instantly at the scene, according to Coroner Jamie Harwood.
Police were alerted to the incident after reports of approximately 20 gunshots fired in South Peoria at around 3:39 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Evans lying in the road.
Despite their efforts to perform life-saving measures, they were unable to save him.
Evans was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was found to be unresponsive, not breathing, and without a pulse. He was pronounced dead at 4:14 a.m. at the hospital.
