Fatal Houston shooting death of Alberto Posada – Obituary
Houston police are seeking public assistance to locate and identify five individuals connected to the fatal shooting of Alberto Posada. The incident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. on June 9 at 9700 Homestead Road.
The five individuals of interest are described as Black males, likely in their mid to late 20s. Surveillance footage showing these suspects and a white 2011-2012 Mazda CX-9 SUV involved in the case have been released.
According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen, officers responded to a report of a shooting at Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. It was revealed that Posada’s vehicle had been pursued and shot at by another vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene immediately.
Posada, who sustained at least one gunshot wound, was initially taken to another hospital, where he was pronounced dead on June 11. The investigation uncovered that the confrontation began as a verbal dispute at a gas station located at 9700 Homestead Road and escalated into a road rage incident.
The police have identified five persons of interest in the case. Anyone with information regarding their identities or locations is encouraged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
