A tragic shooting incident at an unlicensed gambling venue in Dallas resulted in one fatality and another person injured, according to police reports.
Authorities responded to a call about the shooting at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, in the 300 block of E. Ledbetter Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men who had been shot.
Estevan Narvaez Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second individual was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators suspect that the shooting occurred at an illegal gambling operation. Reports indicate that at least two individuals entered the site, demanding valuables from those present. During the altercation, Narvaez was shot by the suspects, who then fled the scene.
