Early Thursday morning, the Allen County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who was tragically killed in a shooting incident.
According to police, they were dispatched to the 3900 block of Warsaw Street around midnight in response to gunfire reports, where they discovered a man lying outside a residence.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Jathen Allen Maxwell from Fort Wayne.
He succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted to his head and hip, and his death has been classified as a homicide. This incident brings the total number of homicides in Allen County this year to 21.
