Fatal Mason City pedestrian accident death of Jennifer Buls-Vrba – Obituary
On Wednesday evening, a tragic accident occurred on the northeast side of Mason City, resulting in the death of 42-year-old Jennifer Buls-Vrba.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Buls-Vrba was struck by a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by 17-year-old Jade Quam from Mason City.
The collision happened around 6 PM in the 1500 block of Plymouth Road, with Quam’s SUV hitting Buls-Vrba as it traveled southbound.
Emergency responders transported Buls-Vrba to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Mason City Police Department, and Mason City Fire Department.
