Peter Ritter, aged 29, was tragically killed in a helicopter collision on Thursday morning in the Kimberley region. The accident occurred at a cattle station near Derby.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the crash site at Mt Anderson Station in Camballin, about 120 kilometers south of Derby.
WA Police and emergency responders arrived around 6:20 a.m., discovering that two helicopters involved in cattle mustering had collided shortly after take-off.
Reports indicate that one of the helicopters caught fire after hitting the ground. With only the pilots aboard each aircraft, Peter Ritter was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
His family has been notified of the tragic loss. Peter Ritter was employed by Pearl Coast Helicopters, a company based in Broome that specializes in aerial stock mustering.
