Fatal Houston shooting death of Damon Spiller – Obituary

Authorities are currently probing the death of a man who was fatally shot while he was asleep at a temporary shelter for the homeless in Houston.

The victim, 56-year-old Damon Spiller, was discovered deceased at Harmony House, located at 702 Girard St., at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday. According to reports, Spiller succumbed to injuries from a gunshot wound.

Investigators believe the shot may have originated from the I-10 East Freeway ramp coming from the North I-45 lanes. While Spiller was found on Wednesday morning, officials suspect the incident might have occurred on either Saturday or Sunday.
