Fatal Aurora shooting death of Mohammad-Saeid Boubash – Obituary
Aurora, Ont. has been shaken by a tragic shooting incident that left one man dead and a woman injured. The York Regional Police have identified the deceased as Mohammad-Saeid Boubash, a 38-year-old Aurora resident. The shooting occurred at a residence on Stubbs Lane, near Leslie and Wellington streets, shortly after 12:15 p.m. on Monday.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Boubash and a 31-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. While Boubash was declared dead at the scene, the woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken to the hospital. She has since been treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
The police have indicated that the shooting was targeted, although no suspect information is currently available. York Regional Police Sergeant Clint Whitney noted that such incidents are highly unusual in this typically quiet residential area.
