Fatal Bengaluru murder death of Kriti Kumari – Obituary
The primary suspect in the Bengaluru murder case, Abhishek, was apprehended in Bhopal on Saturday. This follows the discovery of CCTV footage revealing the brutal killing of 24-year-old Kriti Kumari on July 23.
The accused, Abhishek, fled to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, after committing the violent crime against Kumari. Bengaluru Police had deployed three teams to track down the suspect, and a senior officer confirmed the arrest to PTI, stating, “Yes, he has been arrested.”
The murder occurred when Abhishek gained entry into the paying guest accommodation where Kumari was residing and attacked her. Kumari, originally from Bihar, was living with another woman, and there are reports suggesting that the suspect was the former boyfriend of her roommate.
What Did The CCTV Footage Reveal?
The CCTV footage captures Abhishek entering the corridor of the accommodation while carrying a polythene bag. He knocked on the door before dragging Kumari out. Despite her efforts to resist, she was soon subdued by Abhishek, who then slit her throat and fled the scene.
Other residents, alerted by the commotion, rushed to help but were unable to intervene in time. Kumari was employed at a private company in Bengaluru.
