The lifeless body of Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska, a young woman from Poland, was discovered in a black bin bag, concealed with branches beneath a tree, after she relocated to Greece to work as a waitress for the holiday season.
Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska, who had recently moved to Greece for work, attended a party on Kos Island on June 12. After the event, she contacted her boyfriend, mentioning that she had drunk excessively and would be taking a motorbike to meet him.
When Anastasia did not arrive as planned, her boyfriend, aged 28, alerted the authorities about her disappearance.
Three days later, a Facebook missing persons page shared details about her last known whereabouts, stating that Anastasia was last seen on Kos before 11:00 pm. The post suggested she had ridden a motorcycle with a Bangladeshi man who was supposed to give her a lift. Her phone’s last known location was different from the meeting point she had arranged with her partner.
The 32-year-old Bangladeshi man, whose identity remains undisclosed, has been apprehended and charged with kidnapping. During a search of his residence, police discovered two knives, a stained yellow sweater with blonde hair, and an airline ticket to Italy purchased after Anastasia’s disappearance. DNA found at the suspect’s home matched that of the victim.
On June 18, it was reported that Anastasia’s unclothed body had been located in the Alykes Tigaki wetlands area, approximately a kilometer from the suspect’s residence. The report indicated that her body was partially inside a black bag and partially covered with branches. Investigators have recently concentrated their efforts on an abandoned campsite near the Bangladeshi suspect’s home.
