Fatal Allen County semi-truck crash death of Brad Anthony Nacio – Obituary
Brad Anthony Nacio, a 48-year-old resident of Indianapolis, was identified as the victim whose body was discovered early Thursday on Interstate 69. Authorities are currently searching for the driver of a semi-truck believed to be involved in this tragic incident.
Nacio’s body was found around 3 a.m. near the 319 mile-marker on the highway. Preliminary investigations reveal that he was operating a semi-truck near Union Chapel Road just before the accident.
The Allen County Coroner determined that multiple blunt force injuries from the crash were the cause of death, and the incident has been classified as an accident.
Sgt. Adam Griffith informed WANE 15 that the sheriff’s department is collaborating with Indiana State Police, the Indiana Department of Transportation, Michigan DOT, and other relevant agencies.
They are reviewing traffic camera footage and weigh station records in an effort to locate the semi-truck and its driver involved in the collision.
Although the semi-truck departed the scene prior to police arrival, authorities have recovered fragments of the vehicle. They are now searching for a red or maroon Volvo semi-truck with noticeable front passenger side damage and a missing mirror.
