Fatal New Haven car crash claims lives of Dajsha Knight and Madysin Hilker – Obituary
A tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two young individuals is currently under investigation in New Haven.
Authorities shut down Middletown Avenue from Foxon Boulevard to Barnes Avenue for over five hours to conduct their investigation.
According to police, the collision involved a silver Hyundai, a silver Infiniti, and a grey Ford, occurring at 1:52 a.m.
Both the Hyundai and Infiniti sustained severe front-end damage, while the Ford experienced minor front-end damage.
“The vehicles were completely wrecked. It was an unbelievable sight, like something out of a movie. It was horrific,” recounted Michael Parise, a New Haven resident.
A passenger in the Hyundai was declared dead at the scene.
“Multiple individuals from the involved vehicles were transported by American Medical Response (AMR) to Yale-New Haven Hospital with injuries ranging from life-threatening to minor,” stated the police.
Authorities confirmed that one of the victims taken to the hospital has also succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Dajsha Knight from New Haven and 19-year-old Madysin Hilker from West Haven.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Several residents have remarked that the road where the crash occurred is notoriously dangerous for drivers.
