Authorities have released the names of the two service members who tragically lost their lives when their aircraft went down in a residential neighborhood in Foley, Alabama.
Ensign Morgan Garrett, 24, of the U.S. Coast Guard, and Lt. Rhiannon Ross, 30, of the U.S. Navy, were involved in a routine training flight departing from Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida, when their T-6B Texan II aircraft crashed around 5 p.m. on Friday.
The incident occurred near a Baldwin County public school while students were still present for an after-school program. Fortunately, no one on the ground was injured.
