Brianna Krein dies in fatal Sterling motorcycle crash
Fatal Sterling motorcycle crash death of Brianna Krein – Obituary
The 21-year-old woman who was airlifted to Bismarck on Sunday, July 28, after her dirt bike collided with a semi has been identified as Brianna Krein from Sterling.
Krein was wearing a helmet but suffered life-threatening injuries, while semi driver Larry Rozmarynowski was unharmed.
The crash, which happened around 7:30 p.m. in Sterling, closed U.S. Highway 83 for more than three hours Sunday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Krein attempted to cross US-83 to the east at Fifth Avenue Northeast. Rozmarynowski was driving a 2016 Freightliner loaded with gravel south on US-83 when Krein entered the roadway.
Rozmarynowski was unable to stop when the Krein entered the southbound lane, striking her.
This crash remains under investigation.
