Fatal Wright County Collision Death of Jaxon Andrew Zuelke – Obituary
Authorities have identified the bicyclist who tragically lost his life in a crash with an SUV in Wright County on Sunday.
Jaxon Andrew Zuelke, 21, from Maple Lake, was heading west on Highway 55 near Dempsey Avenue when a westbound Jeep Cherokee collided with him around 9:20 p.m.
A fundraiser is being organized by a friend of the Zuelke family to cover memorial costs. The campaign highlights that Zuelke was riding his “beloved electric bike” when he was struck from behind by the Jeep.
Rebecca Wright, who is spearheading the fundraiser, shared that “Jaxon was a bright, loving, and caring young man with a deep faith in God.” She added, “He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.”
The driver of the Jeep, a 39-year-old from Howard Lake, was unharmed and did not require hospital treatment. The Minnesota State Patrol has stated that it is “unknown” whether alcohol was involved in the incident, though they confirmed that Zuelke was not under the influence.
