Fatal San Antonio car crash death of Jorge Luis Paragas – Obituary
The driver who allegedly drove the wrong way and caused a collision that claimed the lives of a Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy and another individual has been identified as 28-year-old Jorge Luis Paragas. Paragas died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the incident occurred on January 21 at I-37 and Loop 1604. The crash happened when a Ford F-150 driven by Paragas began traveling in the wrong direction, leading to a head-on collision with a black 2024 Ford Mustang.
The tragic accident resulted in the deaths of Deputy Meredith Portillo, 20, and Koree Alcoser, 20. A third passenger in the Mustang was critically injured and remains hospitalized.
