On Tuesday afternoon, Adam Corley, who had been missing for almost a month, was discovered deceased, as reported by the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
Corley, a 28-year-old, was last seen on July 5 outside his workplace at Church Fitness in Cordova. His family reported him missing on July 22.
On July 30, Corley’s body was found in the 1500 block of Germantown Parkway after police responded to a call about a “man down.” Authorities have stated that there are no indications of foul play.
Corley’s father, who resides outside Tennessee, had asked a local acquaintance to file the missing person report because he was concerned that his son had not updated his Facebook account in nearly a month, which was unusual for him. Efforts to reach Corley by phone went directly to voicemail.
On July 23, a family friend discovered Corley’s vehicle abandoned near Crunch Fitness in Cordova. A security guard reported that the car had not been moved for several weeks.
Additionally, two friends informed investigators that Corley had been seeking drugs shortly before he disappeared. One friend mentioned that Corley had lost his car keys days before his disappearance.
Relatives informed the National Center for Missing and Endangered, Inc., that Corley was last seen leaving Crunch Fitness with an unidentified man he frequently associated with.
